Lincoln Chambers also took a table at the event, attended by a number of their members and our guests. The event was attended by around 200 people from the legal profession with Baroness Hale, herself a former member of the Northern Circuit and the first female President of the Supreme Court, as the guest speaker.

In sponsoring the event, Lincoln House supported the fundraising for several charities including the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, for their support in the aftermath of the Manchester Bombings, Prevent Breast Cancer, based at Wythenshawe Hospital, and Reign, a charity preventing child sexual exploitation through the training of police officers and social workers.

The President of the Supreme Court, Rt. Hon Lord Neuberger, was the guest speaker at the first event on this year’s calendar for Women in the Law UK, held in March at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.Hosted by the Vice Chair of the Association of Women Barristers, Sally Penni of Kenworthy’s Chambers, the evening shared the theme of International Women’s Day, “Be Bold for Change”, and was well attended by female and male members of the profession and legal academics.
